What we collect
When you send an enquiry
The contact form asks for your name, work email, company name and a message, and optionally a phone number and your company's website, plus the services you're interested in. We use these to reply, to scope your project and to prepare a quote. The form is processed and stored by Jotform on our behalf.
If you email us directly, we receive whatever you include in that email.
When you browse the site
- Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are read and how people find the site. It records information such as the pages you view, the site that referred you, your approximate location, and your device and browser type, using cookies and similar identifiers. We use it to improve the site, not to identify you.
- Server logs. Our hosting provider, Railway, records technical details of each request, such as IP address, browser user agent and the page requested, to run and secure the service.
- Downloads and images. Blog images and downloadable files are served from Sanity's content delivery network, which receives your IP address when your browser fetches them.
- Browser storage. The site stores one value in your browser's session storage to skip the opening animation after your first page. It is not a cookie, it is never sent to us, and it is cleared when you close the tab.
Who we share it with
We share personal information only with the service providers that run the site and our enquiry process, and only for those purposes:
- Jotform, which receives and stores enquiry form submissions.
- Google, which provides Google Analytics.
- Railway, which hosts the site.
- Sanity, which hosts the site's content, images and downloads.
We don't sell personal information, and we don't share it with anyone for their own marketing. We may disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.
These providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Where the law requires it, we rely on the safeguards they provide for international transfers.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for as long as we need them to respond and, if we go on to work together, for the length of that engagement and any period the law requires afterwards. If we don't work together, you can ask us to delete your enquiry at any time. Analytics data is kept for the retention period set in our Google Analytics account, after which Google deletes it.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to correct it, to have it deleted, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to receive a copy of it. To make any of these requests, email info@cygnisolutions.com. We'll respond within the time the law allows, and we won't treat you differently for asking. If you're not satisfied with our answer, you may be able to complain to your local data protection authority.
You can stop Google Analytics collecting data about you by blocking cookies in your browser or by installing Google's Analytics opt-out add-on.
Security
The site is served only over HTTPS, and enquiries are sent from our server to Jotform over an encrypted connection. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we limit who can access enquiry data to the people who need it to respond.
Children
This site is for businesses and isn't directed at children. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us information, email us and we'll delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal information, we'll update this page and the date at the top. The version published here is the one that applies.
